Review of the Norfolk Broads boat Fine Gem

Positives: Fine Gem is a spacious cruiser, perfect for families or groups of friends. It features forward steering with a sliding sunroof over the saloon, providing a bright and airy atmosphere. Three of the four cabins have permanently made-up berths, while the fourth double is a converting settee in the saloon. The forward steering position makes this boat an excellent choice for first-time skippers. At the front of the boat, a seated area in the bow offers the perfect spot for fishing or simply enjoying the scenic views as you cruise along.

Negatives: Fine Gem is a long boat, without bow thrusters. That will make it difficult to slot into a mooring, though with plenty of crew onboard, all hands on deck will help! It's one of Richardson's older boats, so fittings won't be modern though should be adequate. Just two WC/shower rooms could cause queues on a morning with a full complement of crew.
