Review of the Norfolk Broads boat Gold Gem/h1>
Boat Name Gold Gem
Boatyard Richardsons Boats
Sleeps 6
Positives: Gold Gem is a classic forward-drive cruiser offering excellent visibility for the helmsman through large picture windows. A sliding sunroof over the saloon lets the light pour in, while the forward well with seating provides a great spot for fishing or simply enjoying the scenic Norfolk Broads. With entrance doors at both the front and rear and a single-level interior, it's an accessible option for those with reduced mobility. The boat features two fixed double cabins, plus a convertible double settee in the saloon for additional sleeping space.
Negatives: On the small side to accommodate a party of six crew. The saloon could become overly hot in the high summer. The boat doesn't have a sliding wheelhouse, only a sunroof, similar to what you might find in a car. Be aware that your side view over the reed-fringed banks on forward drive cruisers is limited. This is the trade-off for more headroom at bridges across the Broads.
Gold Gem dimensions: 11.28m x 3.81m (37ft x 12ft 6in)
