Specimen Norfolk Broads Boat Hire Itineraries
starting from Wroxham, Stalham, Horning, Brundall and Acle

It's one thing to book a boat for a few days or a week, but another to work out where you can cruise to and to plan the holiday in advance so you get the most from those days afloat. So to help with this, we have come up with a set of suggested itineraries, or route plans, for three, four and seven night holidays, starting from our hire bases across the Norfolk Broads. Three and four night breaks are linked first, followed by our seven night holiday route suggestions. All detail the route and include mileages and cruise durations.

We are often asked to recommend an itinerary for holidaymakers who have never hired a boat on the Norfolk Broads. One person's ideal itinerary could be another person's exact opposite.

As such, this next set of week long itineraries we have put together, will suit differing tastes. You will find a standard itinerary which should suit the majority. Also included is an itinerary for those with younger family members who might become bored with the standard village, countryside and public house stops. We recognise also that some beginner skippers are very nervous not knowing what to expect, especially if their party consists of just two able-bodied adults. For these people, we have put together an itinerary which avoids Great Yarmouth with its fast flowing tides and have suggested moorings which should be easier to negotiate. Finally, for those who want a taste of all that the Broads have to offer, we have an itinerary which includes a passage through Great Yarmouth to visit both the Northern and Southern Broads and rivers.
